well i dont know the gun laws in your state
but whatever they are its gonna be a hundred times easier to get one there than in california.

for me here, I have to go to a store pick the gun I want, then i go through like 3-4 pages of paper work telling to DOJ who I am, and then that I am not crazy or a criminal. Then after I fill everything out, pay for the gun and fees I have to wait 10 days and if all check out ok I can pick up my gun.

you dont even wanna know about how to get a pistol here

Not to ask an obvious question, but what are you going to do with the gun? I mean it's not a hunting gun and I doubt that you need it for protection.

And what's up with the bottle of Pledge?

you dont think a shotgun is a hunting gun?

here is why i bought a gun

1- Fun- It is a lot of fun to go to the range and shoot a few round

2 - Home defense- I would rather have one and never use it instead of needing it and not have one. Bad things happen even in good areas of town.

3 - Camping - I started camping more, and depending on where I go it isnt a bad idea to have a gun just in case.

4- hunting- I have friends and family that go out hunting, and now i have my own gun to go with.

5- cool- guns are cool

the pldege because I just cleaned my room

I'm not going to go into each one, but you know that you just have it for the coolness factor and "because you can." I'm not saying that is a bad reason, as long as you are very safe with it and realize the big responsibility that goes along with having something that easily kills people.

Do you live in a rough area, lots of home invasions, etc?

not really, i live in like a good area next to a bad area
but there have been a few incidents in the area
there have been a few burglaries in the area, not like everyday but you know there have been some, and i would rather not hope for the best when i live with my mom, sister, and little nephew who cant defend themselves against a criminal.
